Muzzi Colomba Without Candied Fruits, 1kg

Muzzi's "colomba senza canditi" is a beautiful main event for any Easter Celebration.

With an unmistakeable softness, thanks to the natural, slow leavening, as well as the delicate flavour provided with notes of butter, this colomba is perfect for making Easter extra special.

With no candied fruits, this colomba is decorated with crunch icing, sugar grains and sliced almonds.

Enjoy a slice or two, as it is or with your own addition of chosen fruit. This Easter treat can also be enjoyed toasted.

These celebration cakes are traditionally made on Good Friday and enjoyed on Easter Sunday. Traditionally shaped like a dove, they make a beautiful Easter centrepiece.

The colomba is made using a slow-leavened sourdough method, with fresh eggs and Italian sugar. Plus the butter is made from cows who graze on open grasslands, enriching their milk with even more flavour.

Muzzi was founded in the 18th Century by Master Muzzi in the Umbrian town Foligno, Italy. Muzzi’s aniseed marzipan recipe proved a great success with the nobility at the time, and his business grew into breads and pastries.
