Murano Glass Tumbler, Purple

This Murano glass tumbler will add Italian flair to any dinner table. Its regal purple hue is an eye-catching alternative to plain glassware.

Fill the tumbler with iced water or freshly squeezed juice. It’s a great size for cocktails, too. You could use it to serve Negronis with snacks before dinner.

The tumbler is also available in blue and rainbow glass. Mix and match for a colourful table setting.

As these are all handmade by artisans, each piece is one of a kind and there will be slight variations in colour.

What is Murano glass?

Murano glass is produced on a small island in the Venetian Lagoon using techniques that are over 1000 years old. It is a painstaking process during which a mixture of silica sand, potassium, soda and lime is melted at 1500 degrees. Once it has cooled to 800 degrees and thickened in consistency, it is mouth-blown into shape by the local glass masters. Minerals are added to the glass mixture to create the bold colours and elaborate designs Murano is famous for. Known as ‘art glass’, Murano glass comes in many forms, including tableware, figurines, jewellery and chandeliers.
