The Chef’s Press Bundle is your key to consistently crisp, charred and golden brown food. Complete with the 16oz round press — designed to fit 25cm pans for your most even char (no faff having to move the press around). 

Best as a bundle because these cooking weights are designed to be stacked. Customise the pressure applied to your food. Stagger the presses to evenly cover the surface.

What is a Chef’s Press? 

Designed by Chef Bruce Hill while he was working in a tiny kitchen of Bix Restaurant in San Francisco. The stainless steel weights increase the area of your food in contact with the pan. The result: your quickest sear yet and even browning. Plus, chemical changes that translate to flavour. 

Why use a Chef’s Press?

  • Food cooks 20-30% faster
  • Making better contact with the cooking surface is the key to a golden brown finish and flavour
  • Vents allow steam to escape (so everything stays crisp)
  • Keep food submerged in brines and marinades
  • Perfect for sous vide cooking and steaming
  • Stackable to create extra weight on the food
  • Use it on your stovetop or the barbecue

8oz - for delicate ingredients including sliced aubergine, skin-on-salmon, or the crispiest bacon you’ve ever had
