Cool Chile Co Blue Masa Harina, 500g

Cool Chile Co blue masa harina is the key for making Mexican blue corn tortillas. This gluten-free flour is made from non-GMO ground blue corn, which has a nuttier flavour than white masa harina flour. It makes for tortillas richer in flavour, and with a dusky blue colour.

Use this white masa harina to make authentic Mexican tortillas in a traditional press. ‘Masa harina’ directly translates as ‘dough flour’, and as well as tortilla wraps, it's also used to make the dough for traditional tamales, antojitos and gorditas.

As a gluten free flour, this Masa harina works as a substitute for traditional wheat flour for those who are gluten intolerant. Bind with xanthan gum or guar gum to make gluten-free bread, pie crusts and sponges.
