Brindisa Epic Golden Chickpeas

Brindisa Epic golden chickpeas have a mild, nutty flavour. They’re cultivated in the town of Fuentesaúco in northeast Spain. You can use them to make espinacas con garbanzos. Flavoured with cumin and sweet paprika, it’s a great addition to a tapas feast.

The Epic Golden Chickpeas are available in two sizes:

  • 500g
  • 2kg

Dried chickpeas require soaking before cooking but it’s worth the effort. Once cooked, they are soft and buttery inside. You can pair them with big flavours like garlic, chorizo and earthy spices. Try roasting them in the oven until they’re crisp and golden. You can eat them as a snack or scatter them over salads.

Chickpeas are a great way to add more pulses to your diet. Trade your takeaway for homemade chana masala or a spicy falafel burger. They’re perfect for creamy hummus to serve with crackers and crunchy vegetables.

To cook the chickpeas, soak them in cold water for 12 hours. Drain and rinse with fresh water. They will cook in 130-150 minutes on the hob or 30-35 minutes in a pressure cooker.

Store in a cool, dry place.
